Our place is right on Jhalawar Road, near the Jail Road intersection. It’s a busy corner with trucks and cars constantly shifting gears outside. We handle a bit of everything here in terms of supplies and trade stuff. The building is older, so the walls have some cracks and the floor isn't perfectly level, but it works for us. I spend a lot of time on the phone or writing down orders in the ledger. It’s mostly business people and contractors who stop by to talk about what they need for their projects. We keep a lot of inventory in the back room, though it’s a bit of a maze sometimes. I’ve worked in this area for a long time and I know the rhythm of the traffic. When the lunch hour hits, I usually go to the small stall down the street for some food. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning that works all the time. We just have a few old fans that hum while we work. My desk is covered in papers and sample pieces of whatever we are dealing with that week. It’s a practical sort of life. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm around, we just want to get through the daily tasks and make sure the customers get what they came for. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but it’s home.
