Jamil Mobile Repair is right here in Kota Indra Gandhi Nagar. I’ve been fixing phones at this spot for a good few years now. The workbench is usually a mess of screwdrivers and those little plastic opening tools. I spend most of my time under a magnifying lamp trying to see what’s wrong with a charging port or a motherboard. Indra Gandhi Nagar has grown a lot and there are always people walking by. Some stop in just to ask a question about their settings. I don't mind. It’s mostly screen replacements though. Everyone drops their phone sooner or later. I keep a stock of common parts so people don't have to wait too many days. It’s just me usually. The shop is small and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what I need. I started out just messing with my own gadgets and then neighbors started bringing theirs. Now it’s a full-time thing. The heat in Kota can be tough in the summer, making the glue on the phones soft, so I have to be careful. I open up around ten and stay until the lights in the street come on. It’s quiet work until someone comes in upset about their lost photos. I do what I can to help them out. The radio usually plays some old songs in the background while I work, which helps keep the focus.
