Indian Army

We are based in Kota, Rajasthan. The Indian Army presence here is at the Raj Kota location, zip code 324001. If you’ve ever been to Kota, you know it gets incredibly hot. The sun just beats down on the stone and the sand. We spend a lot of time managing things from our base here. It’s a bit of a different vibe than being in the mountains or the big cities. Kota is known for many things, but for us, it’s just where we are stationed. The building is solid, designed to keep the heat out as much as possible. We go about our duties starting very early to beat the midday sun. It’s a lot of logistical work and keeping the men ready. We aren't a corporate office with air conditioning in every corner. We live pretty simply. The food is local and hearty. You see a lot of the same people every day, and we’ve formed a tight-knit community. It’s a practical existence. We don't have fancy brochures or a PR team. We just exist as part of the army’s footprint in Rajasthan. When the wind blows, you feel the desert. It’s a tough place sometimes, but there’s a certain beauty to the starkness of the landscape around 324001. We focus on the training and the daily upkeep of the facilities without complaining much about the weather.
