Bagherwal Traders

Over at Talwandi 252 A, that’s where Bagherwal Traders sits. It’s a straightforward shop. We sell what people need for their daily work or homes. We’ve got shelves full of stock and sometimes it’s hard to find a specific item if it got moved, but we usually know where everything is. The floor is concrete and the lights flicker a bit sometimes. It’s a local place. You come in, tell us what you’re looking for, and we see if we have it in the back. If not, we might know who does. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or their neighbor told them about us. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan going full blast. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years. Some shops closed, new ones opened, but we’re still here at the same spot. It’s a routine. Open the shutters in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. We spend a lot of time talking to the delivery drivers who bring our supplies. They always have some news from the city. It’s a quiet life in a way, just keeping the inventory moving and making sure the shop stays open for everyone who depends on us every day. We just try to keep things organized.
