Goyal Stationary & Telecom

Down on Bajaj Khana Santoshi Nagar Main Road, our little shop Goyal Stationary & Telecom sits right where the traffic gets heavy. It’s a small space, packed with notebooks and pens from floor to ceiling. I spend most of my morning dusting the shelves because the road outside kicks up a lot of dirt. We sell the usual things students need, like pencils and erasers, and also handle phone recharges for people passing by. It can get a bit loud with all the buses honking outside, but we are used to it by now. The back of the shop has some older stock we haven't cleared out yet. Sometimes someone comes in looking for a specific type of ink or a certain brand of register, and I have to climb the ladder to find it. It's not a big corporate store. It’s just me and sometimes my nephew helping out when school is off. We also help people with their mobile top-ups or if they need a new SIM card. The counter is a bit scratched up after all these years. It’s a simple life here in Santoshi Nagar. Most of the regulars are kids from the nearby houses or people walking to the market. We don't have any fancy displays. Just what’s on the shelves and the glass jars with candies for the little ones. It gets the job done for the neighborhood and keeps us busy throughout the day.
