Working at the Nayapura Bus Stand is always a bit chaotic because of the constant horns and the smell of diesel. This shop isn't very big, but we try to keep it organized with all the different phone covers and chargers hanging on the walls. People come in here looking frustrated because their screen broke or their battery died while they were traveling. I spend most of my time looking through a magnifying glass or poking at small circuit boards with a soldering iron. It’s finicky work and my eyes get tired by the end of the day. The counter is usually covered in tiny screws and pieces of plastic from whatever I am fixing at the moment. We get a lot of people who are just waiting for their bus and they come in to ask about a phone or just to charge theirs for a few minutes. It’s a tight space and when more than three people come in at once, it feels very crowded. The floor is just plain concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. I often eat my lunch right at the desk while I work. There’s always someone knocking on the glass even when I’m trying to take a break. It’s just the way things are when you are right at the bus stand.
