Gaurav Mobile & Zerox

Our shop, Gaurav Mobile & Zerox, is sitting at number 37 on Rangbari Road in Mahaveer Nagar 2nd. It’s a bit of a mix here because we handle mobile phones but also have a xerox machine that stays pretty busy. Since we’re in Mahaveer Nagar, we get a lot of students coming in to copy their notes or get forms printed out for their exams. The machine makes a lot of noise and the shop can smell a bit like warm paper and ink sometimes. On the other side of the counter, we deal with mobile recharges and selling accessories like earphones and chargers. It’s a busy little place, especially in the afternoons when classes let out. We don't have much room for a lot of people to stand inside, so there's often a small line out on the sidewalk. We just try to get the copies done as fast as we can so nobody has to wait too long. The mobile side of things is a bit slower, giving us time to talk to people about what phone might suit them or helping them fix a minor setting. It’s a lot of multi-tasking, jumping from the copier to the mobile counter. We’ve been on Rangbari Road for a good while and it feels like we’re part of the neighborhood’s daily rhythm. Just a simple shop doing what needs to be done.
