Running Garg Steel Art Gallery out of Shopping Centre 24-C has its challenges and rewards. We spend most of our time working with raw metal, turning it into something that looks decent for a house or a shop. It gets loud in here with the cutting and the grinding, and there is always a bit of dust in the air. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how to handle a welding torch. If you walk into 24-C, you will see some of the gates and frames we have been putting together. We do a lot of steel railings and window grills too. People come in with an idea of what they want, and we try to make it work with the materials we have. Steel is a tough material but it lasts forever if you treat it right. We don't do flashy ads or anything like that. Most of our work comes from neighbors telling other neighbors about us. The shop floor is usually covered in scrap pieces and tools, but we know where everything is. It’s an honest way to make a living, working with your hands and seeing something finished at the end of the day. Shopping Centre 24-C is a good spot for us because people can easily find the place and drop off their measurements. We just keep our heads down and keep working on the next piece.
