Gajanan Steel Works

Gajanan Steel Works is located right near the government school, just across from Balaji Nagar in Rangbari. It’s a noisy place sometimes because of all the metal we move around. We’ve been working with steel for a long time now. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space where we can get the jobs done. If you walk by, you’ll probably hear the sounds of cutting and welding. We get a lot of local folks coming in needing things fixed or made. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty every single day. We don't have a front desk person or a waiting room with magazines. You just come in and talk to whoever is free. Rangbari is a good spot for us because people know where the school is, so they can find us easily. Sometimes we have too many orders and things get a bit messy, but we work through the pile. We aren't a big factory. We’re just a local workshop trying to make a living. The weather gets really hot in the summer, which makes working with steel even tougher, but we keep at it. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We know how to handle the material and the tools. It’s just what we do. We share a few laughs during tea breaks to keep our spirits up. It is a tough job but it pays the bills and keeps us active. We usually finish up when the sun goes down.
