Chouhan Shopping

We have been operating Chouhan Shopping in the Nayapura area for quite some time. It is not a very big store, but we try to keep a variety of things on the shelves. You can find clothes, some household items, and maybe a few toys for children if you look in the back corner. The floor is a bit old and has some marks on it from moving heavy boxes around over the years. We did not bother with fancy lighting or a big glass storefront. Most people just walk in because they live nearby and need something quick. Nayapura is a busy place so there is always someone passing by. I usually stand near the door to greet people or help them find a specific size. Sometimes we run out of certain items and it takes a few days for the new stock to arrive. I tell people to come back on Tuesday. My son helps with the accounts in the evening after he finishes his college work. We do not use any fancy computer systems, just a notebook and a pen for most things. It keeps it simple and we do not have to worry about the power going out. The fans hum all day long to keep the place cool. It is a modest business and we are just happy to be working here every day. We do not have a huge staff, just a couple of us doing everything from cleaning to selling and locking up.
