Chorsiya Pan Palace

Chorsiya Pan Palace is right at the Chhawani Chouraha, which is one of the busiest intersections you will find in this part of Kota. There is constant traffic and the sound of horns never really stops from morning until midnight. Our shop is positioned right where people have to stop for the red light. We get a lot of dust from the road and the heat from all the car engines makes it very warm in the afternoons. The shop is just a small stall with a counter that we have painted a few times to keep it looking okay. We keep our betel leaves wrapped in wet cloth to stay cool. It is a fast-paced spot because people only have a minute before the light turns green. I have to be quick with my hands. We also sell small things like biscuits and cold drinks from a small fridge that hums very loudly. The address is quite long but everyone just knows us as the pan shop at the main chouraha. Sometimes we have a bit of a crowd hanging around in the evenings when the weather gets a little cooler. We don't have any fancy lights, just one bright tube light that attracts a lot of bugs in the rainy season. It is just a regular local business trying to get through the day in a busy city.
