Bhagwaan Pan Bhandar

If you walk over to Gandhi Chauraha in Sangod, you will find our small shop. We are right there in Shakti Nagar. It’s a busy little corner for the town. Much of our day is spent setting up the leaves and keeping the counter tidy. This isn't a huge operation, just a local pan bhandar where people stop for a minute before heading home. Daily life always includes the street noise. You see the bikes going past and the sun hitting the pavement in the afternoon. Fancy signs or big lights are not things we have here. There is just the name on the front and some jars on the shelf. Usually, it’s the same group of guys who come by after work. Knowing most of their names is just part of being here. Sangod is a place where everyone knows someone. From early morning until the street lights come on, we stay open. Conversations with the neighbors happen while we work. It’s a quiet kind of busy. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a place to get your pan and maybe some supari. Because the weather gets pretty hot, we try to keep the shop cool inside. This has been our routine for a long time. Life at the chauraha moves at its own pace, and we are just a small part of that rhythm in Shakti Nagar. Watching the world go by from this spot is nice. Every morning, we make sure the floor is swept.
