We have been working with computers and mobile phones for a long time now. People come to us when their laptops start slowing down or when they can’t get their phones to turn on. The shop is usually filled with cables and old monitors and bits of hardware. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. Patanpole Holi Ka Khunt is a place where people are always moving, so we get a lot of walk-ins. Some people just want to ask a question about a piece of software or see if we have a specific part in stock. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just know we are here because they walked past or a friend told them. It can get pretty cramped when we have a few big computer towers on the workbench. We just keep our heads down and fix what needs fixing. The street noise is part of the job. You get used to the sounds of the neighborhood after a while. We aren’t a giant showroom, just a practical shop for people who need their tech sorted out. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk to whoever is around. It’s just how we run things here at Balaji. It’s a job that keeps us busy from morning to night.
