We've been at Neendakara P.O. for a long time now. It’s always busy here with the boats coming in. My dad started this and now we just keep it going every day. The smell of the sea is everywhere. We deal with whatever the catch is for the day. Sometimes the weather is bad and things slow down, but usually, we are up before the sun. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a place to get the work done. People around here know us by name. It’s hard work, getting everything sorted and moved out quickly so it stays fresh. We have a small crew and they've been with us for years. You learn a lot just by watching the tides. Sometimes the nets are full, sometimes not so much. That's just how the fishing business goes. We don't spend much time sitting around talking about it. We just do the job and go home. The trucks come in the evening to pick up what we've processed. It gets loud and messy, but it's what we know. My hands are always cold from the ice, but you get used to it after a while. We just try to keep things moving. There isn't much else to say. We are just here doing what we've always done at King Fisheries Ltd. It's a living and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk most days of the week.
