Vodafone

This particular branch is at 200, East Sinthee Bye Lane in Kolkata. It is West Bengal 700030. Even though the name Vodafone is big, our little spot here is quite local. We are tucked away in the lane and mostly serve the people living right around here. People come in with their phones having all sorts of issues. Maybe their data isn't working or they need a new SIM card. We sit behind the counter and try to sort it out. It is a small space, so it can get crowded on Saturday mornings. We have the usual blue and white colors around, but the floor has some scuff marks from all the foot traffic. We drink tea from the shop next door while we work. The lane outside can be a bit cramped with bikes and rickshaws. We don't do big fancy presentations. We just talk to the customers and fix what is broken. Sometimes we have to tell people to wait because the system is slow. It is just how it is. We are part of the neighborhood. Most of the regulars know us by now. We don't pretend to be anything more than a service point. We show up, help people with their mobile plans, and go home when the shutter comes down. It is a simple routine here in East Sinthee.
