Our place is at Flat E-2, 28 Convent Road. It’s an apartment converted into an office, which is pretty common around this part of Kolkata. The Visa Group has been operating here for a while. We handle a lot of paperwork and administrative tasks. It’s mostly about keeping things organized and making sure all the folders are in the right place. The rooms are a bit small, and when we have a few visitors at once, it feels very full. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through documents. There isn't any fancy art on the walls or a receptionist at a big desk. We just answer the door ourselves. Convent Road is a busy area, but once you come inside the building, it gets a little quieter. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that’s usually where we gather to talk about the day. The work can be repetitive, but it’s important to the people who come to us. We don't use big words or pretend to be something we aren't. We are just a small team trying to get through the daily pile of work without making too many mistakes. Sometimes the monsoon rain leaks a bit near the window, and we just put a bucket there and keep going. That’s just life in an old Kolkata building. We have grown quite fond of this little spot despite the small headaches that come with an old office space.
