We are over at No. 107 - B Sovabazar Street. Being in Sovabazar means there is a lot of history all around us, and you can really feel it in the old brickwork and the narrow lanes. The street is almost always packed with people, rickshaws, and vendors, so there’s a constant hum of activity that you can hear even with the windows shut. Our office is a modest space. We don’t have any of those modern glass partitions or expensive carpets. It’s just a tiled floor and some sturdy wooden desks that have been here since we started. We do our own filing and we take turns making sure the place is decent enough for visitors. Often, we’re so busy that the desks get buried under paperwork, but we know where everything is. The local vibe is very friendly. We know the people in the neighboring buildings, and we often stop to chat for a minute or two on the way in. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don't know the area, but we like being in the heart of the old city. It feels real. We don’t spend money on fancy marketing or anything; we just show up every morning and do what we need to do. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year. The humidity in the summer is the only real complaint we have.
