Touchstone India

Working out of 683, Diamond Harbour Road keeps us pretty busy. We’re right in the Behala area, near Hindustan Park, which everyone around here knows. Touchstone India has been in this spot for a good bit. The traffic on Diamond Harbour Road can be a real headache sometimes, especially during rush hour, but it’s where we are. We spend most of our time dealing with clients and looking at product specs. It’s not always glamorous. Often, it’s just sitting at a desk with a cold cup of tea trying to figure out a delivery schedule. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. Sometimes we stand outside for a break just to watch the cars go by. Our space is filled with files and old catalogs that we probably should throw away but they come in handy. Kolkata 700034 is a lively place to be. We’ve seen the roads get dug up and patched back together more times than I can count. People drop by mostly because they saw our name or someone told them we were near the park. We don't do much fancy talk, we just tell folks what we have and how much it costs. It’s a straightforward way to run things. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the street finally gets quiet. It’s a decent life, working here in Behala and seeing the days pass.
