A World Wide Web Service

Our spot is tucked away at No. 225/10 Swamiji Swarani in the Laketown area. It is a quiet enough street compared to the main roads, but you still get the occasional rickshaw bell ringing outside. A World Wide Web Service is basically just a few of us sitting around desks piled with cables and monitors. We do a lot of typing and staring at screens all day long. The office isn't very big, so we end up bumping into each other if we are not careful. We have been here for a bit and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some days the humidity makes the walls feel a bit damp, but that is just Kolkata weather for you. We do not have a big reception desk or a person in a suit greeting people. If you come by, you just walk in and one of us will look up from what we are doing. We mostly focus on getting the web stuff sorted out without much fuss. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, which is nice when you need a break from looking at code. We keep a few plants on the ledge but they do not always survive. It is a humble place, honestly. Just a workspace where we try to stay productive and keep things running. There is nothing flashy about us at all and we like it that way.
