The Indiatodaygroup

This is our office for The Indiatodaygroup over in Shyamnagar on Shangigarh Street. It’s out in 24 Parganas North, so it’s a bit of a trek for some, but we’ve been based here for a bit now. The pin code is 743127 if you’re looking for us on a map. It’s not a huge corporate skyscraper or anything like that. It’s a more grounded place where we handle the local side of things. Most mornings start with a bit of chaos, checking the news and seeing what needs to be covered or organized for the day. The street can get a bit loud with the local traffic, but we are used to it by now. We spend a lot of time on our computers or talking to people over the phone. It’s just regular work, really. We don't have fancy coffee machines, just a kettle and some local snacks from the shop nearby. The staff here knows the neighborhood well. Sometimes we have to stay late when something big is happening, but that's just the nature of this kind of business. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the desks get messy with papers and files. It’s a busy environment but we get through the pile every day. Being in Shyamnagar gives us a different perspective than being stuck in the middle of the city all the time.
