The 3 Steps

We’ve been here at P-40 in Jodu Colony for a while now. If you know the Behala Manton area, you know it gets pretty busy around here. The 3 Steps is just our name on the door. People usually find us after walking past the local shops and stalls. It’s not a fancy place, just some desks and some chairs in a room. Usually, there’s tea being made in the back and someone is talking about the weather. Behala is a crowded spot, but we like it here. The pin code is 700 034 if you are trying to find us on a map. We mostly just keep to our work and try to stay organized. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but that’s just part of being in an older building. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights to show off. It’s just us doing what we do every day. Most of the neighbors know us by now. It’s a short walk from the main road. We do not really do the corporate thing with fancy offices or glass walls. It’s just a normal room where we spend our mornings and afternoons. If you come by, you will probably see some files and papers sitting everywhere. We keep things simple because that is what works for us in this part of Kolkata. It's been a few years and the walls could probably use some paint, but we are comfortable. Jodu Colony has its own rhythm and we have just become part of that.
