The 3 Steps

The 3 Steps is based in Kolkata, over in Behala Manton. Our address is P-40, Jodu Colony. If you know the area, you know that Manton is always buzzing with people and stalls. Jodu Colony is a bit more tucked away, which is nice when things get too loud on the main road. We have a small place here where we handle everything. It’s a typical Kolkata neighborhood vibe with old buildings and narrow lanes. We don’t have those fancy glass partitions or a coffee machine that does everything. We mostly just drink chai from the shop around the corner. The office is basically just a few rooms filled with what we need to get through the day. We’ve been in West Bengal 700 034 for some time now and we like being part of the local community. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear casual clothes and talk like normal people. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or find something else to do. It’s a very grounded way of working. There are a lot of families living around us, so you hear kids playing outside or someone’s radio. It feels real. We just focus on getting our tasks done one by one. It’s not complicated. We just show up, do the work, and then close up for the day when we are finished.
