Our spot is on the ground floor of Ck-115 in Sector-2. Salt Lake is a nice part of Kolkata because the roads are laid out in blocks, so it’s hard to get truly lost. We’ve been in this building for some time now. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don’t have to deal with elevators or too many stairs. The air inside is always a bit cooler than the street, which is a relief during the summer months. We have a few rows of tables and everyone has their own spot with their coffee mug and notebooks. It’s not particularly quiet because there’s always someone talking on a headset or the sound of the keyboard clicking. Outside, you can hear the occasional rickshaw or someone selling snacks. We try to keep things organized, but the shelves are always full of old folders and manuals we haven't looked at in a year. When it rains, the water splashes against the window glass and we all just look out for a minute before getting back to the code or the spreadsheets. We usually leave around six or seven, depending on how much is left on the plate. It's a decent place to spend the day, right here in the heart of Salt Lake, just getting through the tasks one by one.
