Tandra'S Fashion Jewellery

Our little shop, Tandra'S Fashion Jewellery, is located at 140/1/18b N S C Bose Road. It is a long road with lots of shops, but we have our own small corner here. We deal with all kinds of jewelry pieces that people like to wear for weddings or just daily life. The shop is small and filled with glass cases. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass because fingerprints get everywhere. It is just Tandra and a few family members helping out most of the time. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, one of us just does it. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up, so we spend our Sundays organizing the beads and stones. The traffic on N S C Bose Road can be quite loud, but we are used to it by now. We like it when local residents stop by to see what new items we have put out. We don't really have a big catalog or a fancy brochure. People just come in and look at what is on the shelves. It is a simple way of doing business. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. But we are still here, doing the same work every day. It is a nice way to make a living and stay connected to the community. We keep the lights on late most evenings.
