Devashish Garodia

Devashish Garodia is located over at 24/25 A, Prasanna Kumar Tagore Street. We are on the ground floor of Singhi Bhawan. This part of Kolkata, the 700006 area, has a lot of history and you can really feel it when you walk down the street. The building itself, Singhi Bhawan, is one of those old-school structures. Being on the ground floor means we see everyone coming and going. It is not a sleek modern office with glass walls and expensive rugs. It has got thick walls and a lot of character, and maybe a bit of dust here and there no matter how much we clean. We do not really do the whole corporate image thing. It is just us working here, surrounded by books and papers and the general clutter of a busy day. Prasanna Kumar Tagore Street is a narrow one, so it gets pretty crowded. Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle just to get to the door in the morning because of the local traffic. But we like the energy of this neighborhood. It is very much the heart of the old city. We do not have a big team or a lot of fancy equipment. We just have our space in Singhi Bhawan and we do our work as best as we can. It is a practical setup for us. We are not trying to impress anyone with a big lobby. We just want to get the day's work done and go home.
