We are located at 1/1H Jaharlal Dutta Lane in Kolkata, over in the Ultadanga area. If you know that part of the city, you know it is always bustling with people and traffic. Our office is tucked away in a narrow lane, which is very typical for this part of Kolkata. It can be a bit of a challenge to find us the first time because the lane numbers can be confusing. The building is right near the PS Ultadanga, so that helps as a landmark. We do a lot of the back-end work for the jewelry business here. It is mostly about managing inventory and coordinating with the workshops. The space is a bit tight because we have so many records and boxes everywhere. During the monsoon, the lane gets a bit flooded, so we all end up wearing rubber sandals to get to the door. The staff here is like a small family; we have been working together in this same spot for years. We usually order lunch from the local place down the street that makes great luchi. It is noisy and crowded outside, but once you are inside, it is just the sound of calculators and people talking over each other. We don't have a big fancy showroom at this address; it is really just the engine room where the daily grind happens. It is a bit cramped but we make it work.
