S.S. Construction

S.S. Construction is located at Flat No.2, 140, Bidhan Sarani. It’s an apartment we converted into an office space because it’s easier to manage things from here than from a big commercial building. Bidhan Sarani is always moving and always noisy, which actually suits us since we are in the construction business. We spend a lot of time out on various sites, so the office is mostly for the paperwork, the drawings, and the occasional meeting with suppliers or contractors. It’s a bit cramped when we have the whole crew in at once, especially with all the blueprints spread out over every available table. We’ve got dust on our boots most of the time, so the floor stays a bit messy no matter how much we sweep it at the end of the day. Working in construction means our schedules are never really fixed. Rain can mess up a whole week’s plan, and then we’re all sitting here at 140 Bidhan Sarani trying to figure out how to catch up on the timeline. It’s honest work, though. We’ve been at this for many years. We aren't big talkers. We’d rather just show you a finished wall or a solid foundation than spend time talking about it. The flat is a good home base for us. It’s central enough that we can get to most parts of the city without too much trouble. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the jobs without many hiccups.
