Sri Banashnkari Traders

Canning Street is a place that never really stays quiet. We are at 21 B, and it feels like we are right in the middle of everything. Sri Banashnkari Traders is a busy place, mostly because of where we are located. There’s always someone shouting outside or a horn honking. We have a few desks squeezed in here and a lot of shelf space for the stock. The air is always a bit dusty because of all the movement on the street. We start the day by cleaning the floors and dusting the counters, though it doesn't stay clean for long. Most of our work involves checking the ledger and making sure the supplies are moving out on time. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit, so customers usually stand while we talk. We’ve had the same wooden cupboards for as long as I can remember. They’re sturdy and hold everything we need. In the rainy season, the street gets quite flooded, and we have to put everything on higher pallets. It’s a bit of a struggle, but we are used to it by now. We don't use many computers here; most things are still done by hand in the books. It feels more reliable that way. Our staff stays late most nights to finish up the paperwork. It’s just how the trade goes in this part of town. We take things as they come and try to keep our regular clients happy with what they need.
