Spotlight

Our address is 19, Mohini Mohan Road in the Bhawanipur area. We are quite close to Ganja Park, which is a nice spot for a walk if we ever get the time. The building we are in is an older one, typical for this part of Kolkata. It has high ceilings and those big windows that let in some light. Spotlight is where we handle various creative and coordination tasks. It is a bit of a mixed bag here; some days we are doing design work on the computers, and other days we are just sorting out logistics for projects. There are usually a few bags of gear and cables lying around near the door. We don't have a receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door usually opens it when someone knocks. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, but you can hear the sounds of the city once you step out onto the main road. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea throughout the afternoon. It is a relaxed place to work, though it gets stressful when a deadline is coming up. We don't put on any airs about being a big agency. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in a space that feels comfortable. We’ve stayed in Bhawanipur because it feels like home and the commute is easy for everyone.
