Our office is in the SDF Building, right on the ground floor at Module 101 in Sector-V, Salt Lake City. Softhills Technologies is basically a bunch of us working on computers all day. Salt Lake is a busy hub, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside the windows. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of typing and some chatter about software problems or project deadlines. We’ve been in this specific module for a bit now. It’s a practical space, nothing too decorative, just desks and monitors and some old coffee mugs sitting around. We deal with a lot of coding and technical support for different clients. Sometimes the internet acts up or we have to stay late to finish a project, but that’s just how the tech world is. The building itself is one of those older IT spots in Kolkata, so it has a certain character to it. We usually grab lunch at the food stalls nearby or bring something from home to eat at the desk. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees; we are just a focused group trying to keep the software running right. It gets pretty humid here during the monsoon, and the commute through Sector-V can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. But once we are inside and the AC is on, we just get to work.
