Ruma Chemicals

Ruma Chemicals is tucked away in Santoshpur Avenue. It's at 6/181, Arabinda Block, near Raja Sasthi Kendra. We've been here for a while. It's a busy spot but we manage. My father started things years ago and we just kept it going. We mostly handle chemicals for local shops and small businesses. It gets a bit dusty in the office because of the open windows. People usually find us by looking for the Raja Sasthi landmark. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that. The street is quite narrow. We work Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a shipment comes in from the suppliers. It's not a fancy place at all. We just get the daily work done. The floor is old concrete. We have a few wooden desks and many blue barrels in the back. Santoshpur is a good neighborhood, very lively and crowded. You hear the traffic and the horns all day. We know all the neighbors and the tea seller. If you need something, just drop by and talk to us. Don't expect a lobby with AC or fancy chairs. It's a working warehouse mostly. We try to keep things organized but sometimes boxes pile up in the hallways. That’s just how it goes here. We don't spend much time on the computer. Most orders are over the phone or just people walking in. It's been the same for years and we like the routine. The rain makes the street muddy sometimes.
