We are based at 31 Chowringhee Road. It is an old building in a very famous part of the city. Being on Chowringhee means there is always something happening outside the windows, with people and cars everywhere. We deal with chemicals. It is not the kind of place where we have vats of liquids in the office, though. This is more where the paperwork and the orders get handled. We have old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been here for decades. It feels a bit like stepping back in time when you walk in. We do not have modern open-plan offices with bean bags or coffee machines. It is very traditional. We spend our time on the phone with suppliers or checking on shipments to our clients. The ceilings are high and the fans spin slowly above us. We have been at this address for a long time. Everyone in the area knows the building. We do not do much in terms of advertising. Our business comes from long-standing relationships with other companies. It is a quiet atmosphere inside, which is a big change from the noise of the street outside. We just keep track of the inventory and make sure the deliveries are going to the right places. It is a lot of ledger work and phone calls. We are not trying to change the world. We are just a chemical company doing our daily work on Chowringhee Road. It is a steady routine for us.
