Reception

We are located at 30/A/2 Nabalia Para Road in Barisha, which is just near the Jagrihi Club. This part of Kolkata has a very specific feel to it, especially with the club nearby where there is always some event or meeting going on. Our place is called Reception because that is essentially what we do—we provide a space for people to gather. It’s a straightforward building with enough room for a good number of guests. We spend a lot of time moving chairs around and making sure the lights are working for whatever event is happening next. It might be a small wedding one day or a local community meeting the next. We don’t have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most people find us because they live in the area or they have been to an event here before. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, they hold the memories of a lot of parties and gatherings. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming in and out, there’s always something to fix or clean. It’s a practical venue for the locals here in Barisha. We just open the gates, set things up, and let people enjoy their day. It’s not about being the most glamorous spot in town, just about being useful for the people living nearby who need a place to host their friends.
