Sharma Fancy Bangles

We are located at No. 356 Rabindra Sarani. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets with all the crowds. We sell bangles of all kinds. Glass, plastic, metal—whatever people are looking for to match their suits. The shop is small and the walls are covered in boxes from floor to ceiling. It's a lot of colors all at once. We spend a lot of time helping ladies match their bangles to their wedding outfits. Sometimes they bring a piece of cloth and we have to find the exact shade in the dim light. It takes a lot of time and patience. Rabindra Sarani is a historical place, but mostly it's just noisy now with the trams and people shouting. We’ve been here at number 356 for quite a while. My father started this shop and now we just keep it going. We don't do much advertising at all. People just see the display in the window and walk in. We have those little mirrors so people can see how the bangles look on their wrists. Sometimes a glass one breaks and we have to sweep up the tiny pieces. It’s just part of the daily job. We keep a fan going in the summer but it doesn't do much for the heat. We just sit on the stools and talk to the neighbors when it’s a bit quiet. It's a steady business. Nothing too complicated about selling bangles. Just boxes.
