Our business, Prova Chem (India) Pvt Ltd, is located on Mohan Ghosh Road. We are part of the Garia Industrial Estate in Narendrapur. It’s a crowded and busy place to work, but it’s where most of the small factories are. Our building is a simple concrete structure that has seen a lot of seasons. Inside, we have our production area and a small section for the paperwork. It’s usually quite loud because of the machines running next door in the other units. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the estate change a lot over the years. We have a small group of employees who are more like family than staff. We don’t have a human resources department or any of those corporate things. We just work together to get the orders finished. The road outside can get a bit messy when it rains, and sometimes the trucks get stuck, which causes a lot of shouting and honking. We just focus on our own tasks, checking the quality of the chemicals we make. We don't do any big advertising. Most of our customers are other businesses in the Garia area who know us by word of mouth. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we take pride in just getting it right. We’re just a regular part of the industrial landscape here.
