Praveenvasudev

I stay and work at N-304 in Fathepur 2nd Lane. It is one of those spots in Kolkata where the lanes are so narrow you can barely fit a bike through some parts. I am Praveen Vasudev, and this has been my base for quite some time. The building is a bit cramped, and the neighbors are always close by, which means you hear everything from the morning news on their TVs to the smell of fish frying for lunch. It is a lively place to be, that is for sure. My room is filled with books and stuff I have collected over the years. It is not very organized, but I know where everything is. The 700024 area of Kolkata is where I grew up, so I know every corner of these streets. Sometimes the water pressure is low, or the streetlights flicker at night, but it is just part of living here. I do not have a big staff or a secretary. It is just me handles everything that comes through the door. I spend a lot of time at my desk, looking out at the small patch of sky I can see between the apartment buildings. It is a very practical setup. I do not need much to get through the day, just my tools and a bit of peace and quiet when I can find it. It is honest work in a busy neighborhood.
