We’re located at 298-Fakir Ghosh Lane in the Purba Sinthee area of Dumdum. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but that’s where you’ll find our hoarding yard and office. We deal with the big signs you see all over the city. If you’ve seen a large billboard near the airport or on the highway, there’s a good chance we had something to do with it. Our office is more like a workshop than a corporate suite. We have tools, sheets of metal, and large vinyl prints lying around everywhere. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. Prakash Arts has been doing this for a long time. We know how to build frames that won't blow over in a storm and how to get a banner up in the middle of the night when the traffic is low. Fakir Ghosh Lane is where we plan the logistics. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking sizes. We aren't trying to be artists in the traditional sense; we’re more like technicians who make sure the advertisements are visible and safe. The neighbors in Dumdum know us as the people with the big trucks and the tall ladders. We just get on with the work, making sure our clients’ signs look right and stay up as long as they’re supposed to. It's hard work, but we are used to it.
