Pawar Creation

Pawar Creation is down at No. 15/1 Colootola Lane. If you know Colootola, you know the streets are narrow and always full of life. It’s a bit tucked away, but we like it that way. Our shop is small. Sometimes it feels even smaller when we have a lot of stock coming in. We’ve been here for years, and the neighborhood has changed a lot, but we’re still here doing the same thing every single day. We spend our time cutting fabric and sewing. There is always a pile of something that needs to be finished before the day ends. We don’t use any fancy language to describe ourselves because we are just people who know how to work with our hands. The building is old. It has its quirks, like the door that sticks in the monsoon. We just kick it a bit and it opens fine, eventually. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for as long as I can remember. They know where we are. We don’t really bother with big signs or bright lights. The work is what matters to us. We stay late most nights to get everything done. It’s not an easy life, but it’s ours. Colootola Lane is a noisy, messy, wonderful place to be, and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We just keep our heads down and focus on the needles and threads. That’s the story of Pawar Creation.
