Our shop is over at 49/1C Anath Nath Deb Lane in Kolkata. It is a bit of a hidden spot if you aren't familiar with this part of West Bengal. We handle various service requests that come our way, and the work changes from day to day. Some mornings we are out on the street meeting people, and other times we are stuck inside the office handling the paperwork. The lane itself is pretty narrow, and the 700 037 neighborhood is a mix of houses and small businesses. We have a few old metal cupboards for our files and a couple of ceiling fans that have seen better days. It is not a flashy place, but it serves us well enough for what we need to do. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. Most of our furniture was bought second-hand years ago. We know most of the neighbors, and we usually stop to chat when we are heading out for lunch or to grab a tea from the corner. The work we do isn't glamorous, but it is necessary. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what needs to be tackled first. It’s a small, local way of doing things and we are okay with that. We don't have a big mission or anything; we just want to get through the day's work properly and help out whoever stops by the lane.
