We are situated on the 5th floor of 52 Chowringhee Road, which is one of the most famous stretches in all of Kolkata. Even though we are part of a much larger group, our daily life here feels pretty grounded and routine. Being on the 5th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is always packed with yellow taxis and buses. The elevators in this building are old and sometimes you have to wait a while for them to come down, so a few of us just take the stairs if we are in a hurry. Our office is a mix of desks and meeting rooms that have seen a lot of use over the years. We do a lot of training and organizational work here, so there are always people coming in and out for various sessions. It can get a bit hectic during the middle of the week, with phones ringing and people trying to coordinate schedules. We do not go in for anything too flashy in terms of decor. It is a functional space with standard office furniture and plenty of whiteboards covered in notes. Lunch is usually a quick affair, often ordered from one of the many stalls down on the street. It is a busy environment, but we try to keep things relaxed and friendly among the staff. We just show up, do what needs to be done for the day, and deal with the challenges as they come.
