M/S Mechem Industries

Mechem Industries is tucked away in Kolkata on Garfa Main Road. If you are looking for us, you have to head to 25 Garfa Main Road and then go up to the second floor, right at the top. We are in the back side of the building, which actually makes it a bit quieter than the front where all the street noise is. We share the space with Mr. T. K. Biswas, so that’s the name you’ll see on the door. It’s a typical Kolkata setup—narrower stairs and a lot of history in the walls. We’ve been operating from this top floor for a while now. It’s not a huge place, but it’s enough for what we do day to day. We spend our days handling the industrial side of things, mostly dealing with different chemical or mechanical bits. The office has big windows, but since we are at the back, we look out over the rooftops of the neighboring houses instead of the busy main road. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here, especially when the weather is humid, but we don't mind it much. We have our small team of people, and we all just get on with the work. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, but we just wait it out and talk for a bit. It’s a very local way of working. No big signs or flashing lights, just a small office on Garfa Main Road where we do our business.
