Mrk Chemicals. Located at Elgin Chamber, 1-A, Room B-13. We are on Ashutosh Mukherjee Road. It’s one of those old buildings with a lot of history and high ceilings. Being in Room B-13 means people have to look for us a bit, but once they find the chamber, it's easy. Our office is small and filled with files and samples. Ashutosh Mukherjee Road is always loud with horns and people walking by. I spend a lot of my time on the telephone or writing out orders for different chemical supplies. We don't have a big factory here; this is where we handle the business side of things. It’s a bit cramped with all the bookshelves and the old furniture we’ve had for years. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so I end up taking the stairs. We see a lot of different people coming through Elgin Chamber for various businesses. I’ve been working out of this room for a long time. It feels like home even if it’s just an office. We don't have any fancy posters on the walls, just a calendar and some notes stuck to the desk. We just focus on getting the chemicals to the companies that order them. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town. No need for anything more than that. We just do our work and go home. That is about it.
