Moumita Chatterjee

My name is Moumita Chatterjee and I run things out of 39 B Satish Mukherjee Road. If you know South Kolkata, you know this area gets quite active, especially in the evenings. This place has been part of my life for a long time. It’s not one of those modern corporate spaces you see in the new parts of town. It’s more of an old-school Kolkata setup with high ceilings and heavy doors. I think there’s a certain charm to working in an older building like this. It stays cooler in the summer than the new blocks. I handle my business from here every day, usually starting quite early before the city really wakes up. Being near Kol-26 means everything is within reach, which is lucky. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello, which I don’t mind at all. It keeps the day interesting. I don’t have a big team or anything, just a small operation that focuses on getting things finished properly. Life on Satish Mukherjee Road is never boring. There’s always someone moving something or a car honking nearby. I’ve thought about moving to a bigger space, but this spot feels like home. It’s where I started and it’s where I feel most comfortable doing my work. No frills, just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of paperwork to get through. I usually lock up around six and head home to my family nearby.
