Max Media

We work out of an office at 77/1A Ibrahimpur Road, right in the heart of Jadavpur. This part of Kolkata is always bustling with students and people heading to the market. Our space is on the ground floor, so we see a lot of people passing by the window. Max Media is basically a small team of us sitting with our laptops and monitors. We handle different kinds of media projects, mostly things that involve a lot of editing and phone calls. The office isn't very large, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other's chairs. We have a lot of hard drives and papers scattered across the desks. Usually, the radio is playing softly in the background while we work. It’s a very local vibe here; we get our lunch from the shops nearby and know the names of the guys at the tea stall. We don’t have a big corporate sign, just a small nameplate so people know they’ve found the right door. Dealing with media means things change quickly, so there is always a bit of rushing around at the end of the day. We just try to keep things simple and get the work finished without too much drama. It’s a practical way to earn a living in a neighborhood we really like.
