We set up our office at 9/2 Yousuf Sanfui Road quite a while ago. It's a busy part of Kolkata and we are right here if people need to talk to us about their internet. Manthan Broadband Services Pvt. Ltd. mostly deals with cables and making sure the connection stays on. It is not always easy with the weather and the wires hanging around the streets, but we try to fix things when they break. Our staff knows the neighborhood well. We spend most of the day answering calls or sending guys out on bikes to check the routers. It's just a regular local business. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything, just some desks and a lot of equipment. Sometimes the phones ring too much, especially when there's a power cut in the 700137 area. We handle the paperwork for new connections and take the monthly payments. If someone has a problem with their speed, they usually just walk in and tell us. It’s better that way because we can explain what's happening face to face. We have been in West Bengal for years now. Most of us live nearby, so we don’t have long commutes. It keeps things simple. We just focus on the day-to-day work of keeping the broadband running for the families around here. There’s always something to do, whether it’s a broken line or a billing mistake that needs fixing manually. We aren't looking to change the world, just keeping the web working.
