Arsheka Travel

Arsheka Travel is located at No. 57/3 on Madul Danga Road. It is a small place, really. We spend our days surrounded by maps and schedules. Most of the time, it is just one or two of us here handling the phones. Madul Danga Road can be quite busy with people walking by and scooters zooming past. We opened this because we wanted to work for ourselves. People stop by to ask about bus times or train tickets quite often. We have a small desk and a couple of chairs for anyone who needs to sit while we look things up on the computer. The walls are a bit plain, but they have a few calendars hanging up. Sometimes the internet is slow, which makes things difficult, but we manage to get the bookings done eventually. It is not a glamorous job. There is a lot of waiting for people to decide where they want to go. We see a lot of the same faces from the neighborhood. It is nice when someone comes back and tells us about their trip. We keep the door open most of the day to let some air in, though it gets a bit dusty. We do not use any big marketing tricks or fancy talk. We just sit here and help whoever walks in. It is a simple way to earn a living and we have gotten used to the pace of this road over the many years.
