We are located at 127-B on Narkeldange Main Road in Kolkata. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of sound coming in from the street. We are Lee & Nee Software (Exports)Ltd. and we do software work, specifically focusing on exports. The office is basically just a few rooms filled with computers and people typing. We aren't trying to be the next big thing; we just provide software services like we have for years. Some of the equipment is a bit older, but it still runs fine. We have rows of desks where the developers sit. It gets quiet when everyone is focused, but then someone will start a conversation about a bug they found. We don't have a lot of corporate rules about what to wear or how to talk. We just want the work to be finished correctly. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up for a client overseas. That’s just the nature of export work. The tea lady comes by twice a day, which is something everyone looks forward to. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy presentations about ourselves. If you come to the office, you’ll see people working and maybe some empty soda bottles on the desks. It’s a real workplace with real people who know how to code.
