Koushik Ghosh

I’m Koushik Ghosh and this is my little workspace in Behala. It’s located at 44/A/5 Maharani Indira Devi Road. If you know Kolkata, you know how the traffic can get around here, especially when it rains and the streets get a bit messy. I’ve been at this address for quite some time now. The building is older, but it stays cool in the summer which is a plus. I spend most of my hours sitting at my desk, looking out at the street. It’s a quiet enough corner compared to the main road. I don’t have a fancy reception or a secretary to answer the phones. It’s just me usually. I started this because I needed a place to work that wasn't my living room. Now, it's become where I spend most of my life. My neighbors are mostly families, so you hear the sounds of kids playing and people cooking in the afternoons. It feels very local. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and I just take a break and walk down for some tea at the corner shop. I’m not trying to build an empire or anything like that. I just want to do my job and go home at the end of the day. People around Behala know where I am if they need anything. It’s a simple setup with a couple of chairs and some files. Nothing more, nothing less. Just Koushik doing his thing every single day without any fuss. The walls are a bit thin, so I hear the city clearly.
