We have been here in South Mathpara for a while now. It’s a quiet enough spot in Anandamath, Ichapur, though the trains nearby are always a reminder of where we are in North 24 Parganas. The shop itself isn't much to look at from the outside, just a place where we keep the tools and the parts for the electronics work we do. Most days it’s just me and a couple of others sitting around the workbenches. We get a lot of people from the local neighborhood coming in with things that stopped working. Sometimes it’s a bit messy with wires everywhere, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name Kaveripowertronics on the door so people know they found the right place. Living and working in West Bengal means dealing with the humidity, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the task at hand. There’s a tea stall not too far away where we go when we need a break. It’s a simple life here in Ichapur. We know most of the people who walk past our door every day. It’s not a big corporate office, just a local business trying to keep things running for the folks around here.
