You can find us over at Dc16/1 Shastribagan, which is tucked away in the Baguiati area. It’s very close to the airport, so you get used to the sound of planes taking off at all hours of the day and night. The office is in a part of Kolkata that is always moving. We have a fair amount of space here, but it’s mostly filled with folders and old records. It’s not a shiny new tower; it’s a real building where people actually work. We have a lot of different things going on at once, so the atmosphere is usually a bit frantic. There are always people walking through the halls with papers in their hands. We don't really go for the polished look. Our chairs are a bit worn out and the desks have scratches from years of use. It feels like a place where things actually get built or decided. The tea lady comes around twice a day and that’s usually when everyone takes a five-minute break to breathe. The Baguiati traffic can be a nightmare, so we usually try to get in early before the main road chokes up. It’s a solid place to be. We’ve been here for a long time and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. It’s just a bunch of us trying to keep everything running smoothly without making it too complicated.
